BUFFALO, Mo. -

The Lady Indians continued the Buffalo softball tournament Saturday after it was postponed due to rain in September. In its first contest, the School of the Osage lost to Camdenton 5-1. Katie Flaherty and Shellyanna Luttrell recorded the only two hits for Osage in the contest.
Tiffany Urwiller struck out 10 batters and allowed only one earned run in the loss.
The team committed six errors and allowed five unearned runs, which head coach Bill Nowicki said the team could not do against a team like Camdenton.
“(We) did not play as well I would have hoped,” Nowicki said. “We had been playing well up to that game.”
Osage rebounded in its next game and defeated Buffalo 7-1.
Urwiler had her second consecutive game with 10 strikeouts as she allowed no earned runs and two hits. She also went 2-3 with three RBIs at the plate. Amanda Brown Alex McDonald and Lutrell each added one RBI apiece.
In their final game of the tournament, the Lady Indians defeated Rogersville 1-0.
The only run scored in the game came in the fourth inning on a fielder’s choice with the bases loaded.
“It was a very well played game by both teams. We were able to squeak out one run and it held up,” Nowicki said.
Urwiler finished the tournament with another 10 strikeout performance. For the tournament, she allowed only one earned run and struck out 30 batters in three games.
Flaherty, Lutrell and Taylor Dobbs each  had one hit for Osage, while Brown added the one RBI. Flaherty scored the lone run of the game.
