The Zach Wheat American Legion Post 624 played two tight games with Fulton Post 210 on Tuesday night. The two teams split the doubleheader with Post 210 taking game one and 624 winning the second game.
Post 210 jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in game one,  but Post 624 rallied back with six runs in the top of the second inning to take a 6-2 lead.
Post 210 answered right back with six runs of its own in the bottom half of the second to make the score 8-6.
The third inning saw more scoring as each team scored three runs in the inning. The fourth inning was pivotal for both teams as Post 624 was shutout while Post 210 scored another three runs to push its lead to 14-9.
Post 624 attempted a last inning comeback down 16-10. The team plated four runs in the top of the seventh, but fell two runs 16-14.
After the two teams combined for 30 runs in the first game of the night, Post 624 added another 11 runs in game two, as it won 11-6.
Post 210 again jumped out to the early lead scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 3-1 lead. Post 624 scored one run in the first, one in the second, and two in the third to take a 4-3 lead.
Post 624 scored five runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth to win the gam 11-6.
