Laurie, Mo. -

Camdentons Tamra Jenkins won the championship division of the Lake of the Ozark Horseshoe Clubs Summer Splash Tournament. This was the clubs second outdoor tournament of the summer and it was held at the 15 court facility at Hillbilly Fairgrounds.
Of the 45 pitchers that entered the tournament, 22 were local club members. Despite two inches of rain the night preceeding the tournament, club members were able to make the fourts playable for the four morning classes.
The championship division was won by Tamra Jenfins, a local club member. Jenkins was one of six local pitchers who won the seven divisions.
Kenneth L. Grossman took the Class B championship, while Paul Van Evercooren won in class C. The D championship was won by Carl Folsom Sr., while Mellissa Wolfe won the E class. Class F was won by Ed Davis and the G class was won by Larry Doeden.
The tournament was held on Saturday June 28, and the next local tournament will be Sept. 13-14, during the Hilbilly Fair.
