A three-day adventure

Louwanna crowching

After shooting a 91 on her opening day, the first thing Bloom said was “I survived.” On the second day of the tournament, Bloom said her swing was much better, but the score did not show it as she shot a 93. In a tie for third place, Bloom did not believe she could but said ““I have nothing to lose, so I might as well just go for it (in the final round on Thursday).” The final day Bloom shot an 86, her best round of the tournament and said that "I was finally getting into my swing,” feeling comfortable with my swing."

Osage Beach, Mo. -

After three grueling rounds at the Missouri Woman’s Golf Association Amateur Championship, Louwanna Bloom placed third in the B-flight Open Division.
Bloom shot an 86 in the final round to secure third. Bloom was satisfied with her finish, especially since she went into the tournament with what she felt was not enough practice.
“I certainly wouldn’t recommend (playing in a tournament without the preparation), but I’m pleased with third place.”
One of the best parts of the event for Bloom was the opportunity to play at her home course, Osage National.
“It's always a great experience no matter where you play, of course I'm proud to play it at my home course,” Bloom said. “The staff turning the course over to these ladies for three days is awesome ... I was very proud to represent this club."
