- The Volley Lakers improved their record to 17-5 Tuesday when they defeated Hickman 25-12, 25-13.
Volley Laker Haley Baker said one of the keys to the team’s success is they’re having fun.
“It was a pretty good win, but I think we’ve played better,” Baker said. “We were just having fun tonight.”
Baker led the team with 7 kills and 12 digs, while Jessica Smith had 6 kills and 6 blocks.
Head coach Ann Gulshen said Smith and Nikki Branting, who also had 10 digs, played well.
In the first game, Camdenton jumped out to an early lead and built it to 16-7 before finishing off Hickman 25-12.
