Mark Douglas Oldham, 59, of Climax Springs, Mo., passed away from leukemia Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at St. John’s Health System in Springfield, Mo.
He was born July 27, 1949, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Sherwin E. and Helen Baker Oldham.
Mark was of the Lutheran faith. He attended Ruskin High School.
He moved to the lake 25 years ago. At the time of his death, he owned and operated T & M Drywall.
He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Vietnam War, and had an outstanding record.
He is survived by his wife, Becky; two sons, Mark Edwin Oldham and wife Amanda and their daughter Jayden of Camdenton, Mo., and Raymond Matthew Oldham and wife Rene and their children Emmry and Evan Oldham of Raymore, Mo.; two brothers, Daniel Oldham and wife Kathy of Smithville, Mo., and Michael Oldham and wife Marla of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Cynthia Jefferson and husband Howard of Grandview, Mo.; his mother, Helen Oldham of Sunrise Beach, Mo.; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, and a daughter at birth, Anna Marie Oldham.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 15 at the Kent Memorial Lutheran Church in Sunrise Beach, with Pastor Dave Beese officiating. Entombment will be at a later date in the Kent Memorial Columbarium.
