An alleged assault that occurred during the homecoming celebration at the Camdenton High School  is under investigation.
One student was taken to the hospital for treatment of facial injuries.
The fight allegedly occurred following the Laker’s victory over Nixa last Friday.
According to Camdenton Police Chief Laura Wright, the two students got into a fight at the football field. Before the altercation, the two had apparently exchanged words earlier in the evening.
Wright said she could not confirm if the students involved were members of the football team.
School officials were out of the office and could not be reached for comment.
