Lake of the Ozarks, Mo. -

It may be tempting to test fate and take a flying leap off a cliff, but it’s not advisable, even if it is your birthday.
A 47-year-old man from Humboldt, Neb., ended up in Lake Regional Hospital after jumping off a cliff into Lake of the Ozarks earlier this week.
According to the Missouri Water Patrol, the man suffered moderate injuries after taking a 50 foot leap off a cliff near the 4-mile marker of the Grand Glaize Arm on Monday afternoon.
The man was taken to the access ramp at Lake of the Ozarks State Park and then taken by ambulance to the hospital.
According to the report, the man’s date of birth coincided with the date of the incident.
There are no laws against bluff or bridge jumping, but the Water Patrol advises swimmers to think twice before plunging into the water. Officers say it can result in serious injuries.
