The Lake Holiday Lights Committee has announced the dates and time of the drive-thru park that attracts thousands of visitors during the holiday season.
The lighted display will open Nov. 22 and stay open from 5:30-9 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday until Dec. 31.
Between Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, the park will be open each night.
The Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is calling for volunteers and sponsors to help with the event.
The park had been located below Bagnell Dam. In 2007, it was canceled and relocated to the new Osage Beach City Park this year.
Last week Osage Beach city officials approved spending $30,000 to install light fixtures and another $8,000 for the cost of electricity to the city’s park just in time for the holiday event.
Installing the lights will also be allow other events in the future at the city park.
The park is located on Hatchery Road off Highway 54.
This year, organizers are looking at making the event even bigger by offering concessions and ways to incorporate civic organizations to become involved.
