Morgan County, Mo. -

A 49-year-old Stover man has been listed in stable condition after being stabbed several times by a neighbor.
According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department the 58-year old suspect was arrested late Wednesday night at his home off of Ivy Bend. He has been released pending charges.
The investigation is continuing.
Authorities say the stabbing occurred just before 10 p.m. after the neighbors started arguing. Morgan County detective Jason Yeager said he has not determined what started the fight.
The victim struck the neighbor with a stick, then the neighbor retaliated and stabbed him approximately four times, Yeager said.
Yeager declined to say what type of weapon was used.
The victim was flown to the University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. with serious injures.
The suspect faces a charge for first degree assault.
