Osage Beach, Mo. -

Police are on the lookout for an extremely large piece of equipment weighing about 50,000 pounds that was stolen from a construction site nearly a week ago.
The equipment was listed as a yellow 1996 Kamatsu PC-220 LL-6.  It operates on tracks not wheels and has large grapples on the arm.
The equipment was reported stolen on Monday, Oct. 6. It apparently disappeared from the site where crews have been working where Carl’s Mar ket used to be located at the junction of Highway 54 and Route 42.
Crews have been clearing the site to make room for the Osage Beach expressway project.
The 50,000 pound piece of equipment would have required a semi-style truck with flatbed trailer to be able to move the equipment from the job site.
The machine operates on tracks not wheels and has large grapples on the arm, according to police.
Anyone with information about this crime as well as others is requested to contact the Osage Beach Police Department at 573-302-2010 or the We Tip Hotline – 1-800-78-CRIME or 1-800-782-7463 or  www.wetip.com.
