Camden County, Mo. -

A paroled man wanted for sexually assaulting a juvenile in Morgan County is finally behind bars more than a month after charges were filed against him.
Acting on information from a citizen, deputies from the Camden County Special Operations Unit arrested 39-year-old Clint Eddy of Versailles on Wednesday.
Eddy has been on the run since July 2 after the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department charged him with three counts each of forcible rape, forcible sodomy and statutory rape.
According to court documents, the victim’s mother reported the case to authorities.
She said Eddy was repairing a mobile home in Versailles. Her daughter was keeping a pet dog at the mobile home. When she would go over to feed the pet, he would attack her.
The victim said she had been assaulted several times in June. If she refused, he threatened to kill her or her family.
When the mother confronted Eddy and told him she was going to file charges, he called the girl a liar.
He said he would not go to prison, according to police reports.
Eddy fled the area before the arrest warrant was issued.
Law enforcement officials said Eddy had friends and other contacts in the cities of Fortuna and Springfield in Missouri and also in the states of California and New York.
Eddy is on parole for first-degree robbery.
He is being held without bond on a warrant from the Missouri Division of Probation and Parole charging him with parole violation.
Eddy will be transferred to the Morgan County Jail as soon as arrangements can be made.
