Hit-and-run driver arrested; Rollover accident Tuesday caused delays on Hwy 54 in Osage Beach

A hit-and-run accident Tuesday backed up traffic on Highway 54 in Osage Beach when a 2009 Accura hit a rock bluff and overturned.

An 18-year-old Camdenton man was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident after officers showed up at his place of employment a day later and took him to jail.
The owner of the suspect vehicle was picked up at his work on Jeffries Road at 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to a police report issued by the Osage Beach Police Department Wednesday.
Police and units from the Osage Beach Fire Protection District responded to the accident on Highway 54 and Jeffries Road at 3:18 p.m. Tuesday.
The accident occurred when a vehicle left Jeffries Road turned on to Highway 54 and into the path of a 2009 Accura driven by Ilagean Blair, 79, of Osage Beach. After being hit, the Accura collided with a rock bluff and rolled over.
The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene. The name of the driver is being withheld pending the filing of charges.
Charges for felony fleeing the scene of a motor vehicle crash resulting in injuries are being sought, according to the release.
