Two Linn Creek residents were arrested for taking off with various building materials from a condominium complex and trying to sell it at a local recycling plant.
On Tuesday, an employee at Towers at Parkview Bay called police after spotting two male subjects steal aluminum railings, fascia and J channel and load it onto a Dodge truck, according to information provided by the Osage Beach Police Department. The theft was reported at 2:15 p.m.
The witness had taken down the license plate number and turned it over to authorities. Deputies from the Camden County Sheriff’s Department responded to the residence of the suspects, located off of Porcupine Lane in Linn Creek and arrested two 35-year-old males. The names were not listed in the police report.
The suspects had attempted to sell the property at A-Road Recycling, which refused to purchase the materials. That is when they left the business, leaving the stolen property behind.
The items were damaged and could not be used at the Towers property.
Osage Beach Police are warning residents to be on the lookout for suspicious activity and note theft of aluminum, steel and copper products is a rampant nationwide movement.
