Stepped up police enforcement on Route W is struggling to make an impact after another motor vehicle accident occurred there.
This time, a 23-year-old woman sustained moderate injuries early Tuesday morning when she ran off the side of the road and overturned her vehicle.
Amy Lawrence of Rocky Mount was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt northbound on Route W when she failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the side of the roadway and overturned, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol report.
The incident occurred about 6:50 a.m. near Gilliam Road between W-20 and W-22.
Lawrence was transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach with moderate injuries. According to the report, she was not wearing a seat belt.
The Lake Ozark Police Department assisted.
