Four Miller County residents have been arrested for stealing a herd of cattle after investigators found the suspects had rented a trailer to haul the livestock and sold them at the Regional Stockyard in Vienna, Mo.

For the first time in nearly 18 years, the lake’s largest fire protection district has appointed a deputy chief.  Mid-County Fire Protection District Chief Scott Frandsen said since taking over there have been a number of changes. Appointing someone to be second in command is just one of them.
