Sturdevant Gallery will hold an entertaining artist reception for this photographer, Henry Domke, from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 29.                                  
Henry Domke was a family practice physician at Family Health Care in Jefferson City for 25 years until his unique perception of nature changed his direction to the art world. 
He has distinct ability to take the ordinary and turn it into the extraordinary. His wide variety of photography art leads it’s viewers through many different colors, patterns and scenery that tantalizes the eye.
His work has been featured in Healthcare Design magazine as well as health care facilities around the United States.   
Domke has traveled to various locations around the globe such as New Zealand, Denmark, Kenya for his inspirations and one-of-a-kind design.
A large part of Henry’s work focuses on the nature of the Prairie Garden Trust, a 600-acre nature restoration project, which Domke’s parents started in central Missouri to “share the beauties of nature.”
